Whether you're racing for the podium or just riding for the thrill, there’s something for everyone. Because at Triple-R, it’s all about SMILE – SHRED – REPEAT!
Once again, we will be bringing back the perpetual Chris Keir trophy for the Fastest Female Over 50 in the Triple-R
The Chris Keir Memorial Trophy is dedicated to the late and great Chris Keir, who was an avid mountain biker and Triple-R enthusiast, who sadly passed away in 2023. Chris loved to race, and even received the buckle for having completed the Reef to Reef, Port to Port and Cape to Cape one year.
Chris raced in South Africa and always sought out trails wherever she went, be it in Canada or New Zealand. For Chris it wasn’t all about racing or getting QOM’s on strava segments or winning, though she did stand at the top of many podiums.
More than anything else Chris enjoyed getting out with her mates on a Sunday afternoon for berms and beers. She was passionate about teaching and really encouraged and inspired others to get out and have a go. Chris was an integral member of the Cairns mountain bike community. She generously volunteered her time and spent countless hours helping at local events.
Chris was the most brave, most beautiful, most badd ass lady and she is deeply missed in the Cairns MTB community.
Made lovingly by Chris' husband Russell, from a cutting from a gorgeous Eucalyptus burl and an old disc brake belonging to one of Chris’s bikes, this trophy is a stunning mantel piece and one to be treasured for the year by its deserving winner.
