What to expect during race week
With just over a week to go until we head to Tropical North Queensland for 4 days of Good Times Rolling, we’re getting super pumped to put on Reef to Reef for the first time since 2019 – that’s 3 whole years ago!
Some of you will have been to Reef to Reef before, while others will be first timers, but you’ll know that Reef to Reef is much more than a mountain bike stage race – it’s a full week of fun trails, good mates and cold beers! We’ve put together a list of what you can expect pre and post-stage, as well as where the daily social hub will be each day (where riders come together later on to share a drink and a yarn about the day’s riding!)
Stage One: Smithfield MTB Park
At the race village: Coffee, food and drink, bike mechanic services, bike wash, live music.
Daily Social Hub: Macalister Brewing Co. (from 5:30pm)
Stage Two: Davies Creek
Unfortunately, due to the remoteness of the Davies Creek stage we are not able to offer food or beverage services. We encourage riders to head down the hill to the Social Hub for a cold one and feed post-stage at Macalister Brewing Co, an easy 45 mins drive from Davies Creek.
At the Race Village: Coffee, bike mechanic services, bike wash.
Daily Social Hub/Prize Giving: Macalister Brewing Co. (from 1:00 pm)
Stage Three: Mount Molloy
At the race village: Coffee, food and drink, bike mechanic services, bike wash.
Daily Social Hub: Central Hotel, Port Douglas (from 5:30pm)
Stage Four: Mount Molloy – Port Douglas
At stage start: Coffee, bike mechanic services
At the finish: Food and drink, bike wash, live music.
Daily Social Hub/After Party: Central Hotel, Port Douglas (from 5:30pm)
